Travels with Petey

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

More than six months later, I am moved to post to this blog just to continue commenting on my life. Travels are still with Petey, my bow-wow, my companion, my boy, my joy. I am still retired and the fact of retirement is very far removed from former fantasy. I am stiller, less ambitious, less monkey busy, more observant, more Zen. Following on the happy, happy, joy, joy I discovered on the trip last summer, I am taking time carefully to seek "beloveds". The
slanting morning sun through my tomato plants, a pair (well, really a bevy of pairs) of mating dragonflies, the new lemon color I painted my dressers, the curve of a neighbors cheek, wild parrots always, wearing cotton knit pajama bottoms with sheep on them for around the house clothing (the fabric caresses my skin), fill in your own beloved. I carry my camera always, and some beloveds get snapped.

So what happens when I focus on beloved, heart joy, beauty, wild peace? I leave it to you to find out what happens for you if you do it.
